London Cocktail Week arrived this month, with the infamous Cocktail Village setting up shop at Old Spitalfields Market. This year was bigger and better than ever, as brands and bartenders from around the world gathered at the central hub to showcase their best creations.
This was my third time at LCW, having ventured East each year to quench my thirst for alcohol and it was clear that everyone had really pulled out the stops. The hub was an immersive maze of pop-up cocktail bars, experiences and food vendors – with brands from Patrón, Peroni, Portobello Road Gin and plenty more showcasing their talents. Internationally renowned bartenders from venues around the world were also on hand to show us their goods.
Patrón’s Cocktail Lab was the first port of call on our journey through the Village. For seven days, the lab hosted seven bartenders from the Worlds’s 50 Best Bars. These included guys from Speak Low in Shanghai, The Clumsies in Athens, Dandelyan in London and more. We were lucky enough to have Chris Hysted-Adams of Black Pearl in Melbourne make us his signature The Death Flip, which was absolutely delicious.

Schweppes created an Alchemy bar, allowing patrons to explore the world of the original alchemist, Jacob Schweppe, through five unique cocktails…

Southern Comfort were on hand to dish out the tastiest chicken and American style drinks…

The Kyrö Distillery Company were over from Finland to show us their goods…
LCW may have killed my liver and my body, but the great events and collaborations really were worth it. If you didn’t make it down then you definitely missed out! Cheers to next year, London Cocktail Week
