The Best Pregnancy Facials In London: 2024 Guide

When you’re pregnant, everyone loves to tell you how much you’re “glowing.” But for me, my skin has been at its worst during maternity. While my nails have been growing longer and hair has barely seen any breakage, my complexion couldn’t be further from providing me with that pregnancy glow; reverting back to my teenage years, with blemishes, uneven texture and uncontrollable pores.

So, with things not getting any better on their own, I decided it was time to seek help from the professionals and consult London’s leading facialists. The city is filled with spas offering pregnancy massages and treatments, but finding specialised facials geared to mothers-to-be proved more difficult. Whether you’re treating yourself or that special mumma in your life, I’ve rounded up all the top clinics offering pregnancy facials in London – tried and tested by yours truly.

Best For A Tailored Experience: Eudelo

Located by Vauxhall station, Eudelo is the upmarket clinic that focuses on medical and aesthetic dermatology. Expect a tailored experience from the moment you enter, with a bar offering hot and cold drinks before you’re taken into a private room to meet your therapist and explain your skin concerns. After this, I had ‘before’ images taken – those of you on a number of sessions can refer back to these to see the difference. Eudelo aims to move away from relaxation-centred facials and provide one that is “dermatology-grade, evidence based, and results-driven” to produce real benefits. In terms of the treatment itself, I had a deep pore cleanse, gentle skin peel, extractions (no pain, no gain), clay mask to help with my pores, LED light therapy, lymphatic drainage to reduce water retention, and a blast of cryostimulation to support skin regeneration.

Why I liked it: it might not be cheap, but you get what you pay for in terms of a gorgeous clinic, attentive staff and a personalised experience that addresses your specific skin concerns.

💸: £415 for a single session, £795 for 3, £1395 for 6
📍: 63 Bondway, SW8 1SJ

Best For Pampering On A Budget: Dr Leah Clinics

If you’ve found yourself searching “pregnancy facial near me” then look no further. Since winning The Apprentice in 2013, medical doctor Leah Totton has gone on to launch multiple clinics across London and Essex. I visited the Baker Street branch for a Saturday morning appointment that consisted of a deep double cleanse, toner and microdermabrasion using Obagi products, a hyaluronic gel mask, ice globe massage for lymphatic drainage and blood flow, then a serum and moisturiser followed by SPF. The 40 minute experience also included a neck, arm, and hand massage for the ultimate indulgence.

Why I liked it: while Dr Leah’s pregnancy facial was more of the relaxing type than one that targeted my skin problems, it’s a lovely treat for soon-to-be mums, and I felt totally pampered at a price that didn’t break the bank.

💸: £95 for 1 session
📍: Baker Street (10 Glentworth Street, NW1 5PG) or Moorgate (24 Chiswell Street, EC1Y 4TY)
🚉: Baker Street or Moorgate stations

Best For An At Home Facial: Urban

Perfect for any soon-to-be mother who’d prefer to stay at home, Urban is the app to know. In fact, I’d recommend this for anyone who’s after some pampering without having to leave the house. Appointments are easy to book through the app – simply pick your treatment, select your time, then choose from a roster of therapists. I booked with Aliona, who turned up with all sorts of equipment (I’m talking products, steamer, even the massage table) so all I had to provide were some towels and a bowl for water.

Why I liked it: not only did Aliona cleanse, tone, exfoliate, extract and steam to tackle my blemish-prone pregnancy skin, but she also gave me one of the most relaxing rub-downs. Whether you’re after a pregnancy massage at home or a facial that does a bit of both, thishas got to be top of my list. And the best bit? I didn’t have to leave the house at all. Plus, the affordable price point makes things even better.

💸: £70

Best For An Affordable Full Body Treatment: Bokeh Spa

As well as offering what just might be the best pregnancy massage in London, the Bokeh Spa at Montcalm East also provides a dedicated Yummy Mummy To Be package. By the time I visited the Shoreditch hotel, I was well into my third trimester, so the pregnancy-safe facial, full body massage and focus on soothing swollen ankles were very welcome. Visiting on a Tuesday afternoon meant that I had the spa to myself too; there’s a pool, relaxation room, sauna and steam.

Why I liked it: a real all-rounder, Bokeh Spa gives indulgence from the moment you enter. You’ll have a private room for the treatment, plus the chance to unwind in the spa and even head up to the hotel restaurant and bar if you fancy it.

💸: £165
📍: Montcalm East, 151-157 City Rd, London EC1V 1JH
🚉: Old Street Station

Notable shoutouts that didn’t make the test…

The Beaumont hotel: for a pregnancy facial with full body treatments.

The Connaught hotel: for what might be the best pregnancy spa day London has to offer.

Aesthetics Lab: for LED light therapy.
